Back to making birthday, sympathy and thank you cards, among others.  This cute little girl is another Mo Manning creation, using my spellbinders, StampinUp oval punch and copic markers.  I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.  And now we are all looking forward to a very happy and prosperous 2012!

I did a number of variations of this card.  It was a Mo Manning drawing which I abbreviated and added the little message at the bottom.  May I wish all of those who visit my blog a Very Merry Christmas and Joy for the New Year!

Decided to post one of several variations of this card that I made for Christmas.  This was a free digi stamp from Gina K Designs, which I shaded in with my Stampin Up markers and backed it with spellbinders, silver paper and Stampin Up paper.   Also did this card with gold background and a deeper red.  You can't really see the silver markings on the ball.  Added a little bling to the ribbon.

Here is a very simple little card which can be used for any occasion.  I cut out and popped the flowers and put them on a background of cuttlebug embossers.  I think the digital flowers were a freebie from the Digitial Chick.

This little Mo Manning drawing is a fun one.  I have been busy making a lot of Christmas cards, but I thought I would share this birthday card with you.  I hope Mo continues to draw these sweet little creatures 'cause they are so much fun to work with.

Don't we all need to receive a card like this once in a while, especially during the busy Christmas season when we are feeling stressed out?  I made this card for one of my sisters who struggles so with her health, but she always maintains a happy face.  I want her to know that I am thinking of her.

This is another of those cute Mo Manning characters.  I used my spellbinders and copics for this one, along with paper from Stampin Up and other sources.

Here is another Mo Manning cute little drawing.  For this card I used my copics, spellbinders and etched a little color around the outside.  Also did the same thing with the StampinUp punch and sentiment.  I popped up the spellbinders and the little fella.  Then just a little touch of ribbon and matching pearls to give it a little bling.  Since Christmas is just around the corner, I had better get busy doing a few Christmas cards!  But these little guys are so cute and so fun to work with!

Here is another of Mo Manning's adorable digitable drawings.  Somehow even though Christmas is just around the corner, I haven't had the inclination to work on Christmas cards.  I'm addicted to these cute digital drawings.  I used my copics, and paper from various sources to complete this card and a Stampin Up stamp to emboss the background paper.

When I saw this quote, I had to find the perfect angel.  Although I'm not a big angel fan, I liked this angel from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I used Prima paper and some StampinUp paper and added sparkle with Sakura pens.

My favorite dog.  Thought it would be good to do a masculine card for a relative.  Tried to use appropriate colors for a man's card.  But this little doggie says it all.

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is coming down the pike so quickly.  I made this card for a young man who is serving a mission in Singapore for our church.  I love these funky characters.  This time I used my water color pencils for all those bright feathers.  I am looking forward to seeing what other stampers will do with this Thanksgiving holiday.

Tried something different this time.   I love this butterfly stamp, but might think it a bit overwhelming on this card, but did it anyway.  Used a Sissix in the background, used watercolor paper and painted the main image and set it off with StampnUp certainly celery paper.  Added a little bit of sparkle to the flowers, but you probably can't see that in this photo.  Didn't add a message -- sometimes I like to leave the message off.

This is another digi stamp that I got from the Bugaboo Stamp website.  I used my score pal to make the frame around the picture, some Stampin Up paper and my copics, along with Stampin Up punches, then added just a little sparkling baubles.  I don't usually use turquoise and green paper together, but this seemed to work.

This is another digi stamp from Bugaboo stamps.  It is always fun working with little kids with the big heads.  Thought this girlie card good for a female who loves baseball, especially this time of year with the World Series wrapping up.

This was a freebie from Bugaboo Digi  Stamps. Just in time for Halloween.  Although Halloween isn't a favorite time of mine, this little guy is just too cute not to do something with him.  Added lots of sparkle to his stars and a little in the background.  Bugaboo gives away a stamp or two every so often.

Here I am again, trying another digi stamp,  I love the message and this crazy lady.  There are two digi sites which have really cute clip art -- Bugaboo and Whimsey, both of which I have used.  Sometimes they offer free stamps, which is a nice feature.  Digi stamps are less expensive than rubber or acrylic stamps and can also be used over and over again.  If you can't read the message, "If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of car payments".

Tried a second card with this funny little girl.    I've been told that comment posting on my site isn't working. I'm new at this blogging stuff and cannot seem to fix the problem. You'll have to give an old lady a break.  If you really want to comment, please email me at marian.bonney@gmail.com.  Thanks.

I wanted to do a picture that looked somewhat like a watercolor.  I first tinted the background green at the bottom of the paper and then dabbed pink.  Finally I stamped the StampinUp image. To accent the picture, I chose Prima paper behind the image.

Saturday, September 24, 2011

This little girl just fascinates me.  She's from Whimsystamps.com.  It is fun to work with digi stamps.  Her expression says it all.  I put in a few little sparkles that you probably can't see very well..

Thursday, September 22, 2011

Just a little of the fall colors in this card.  Used some spellbinders and and SU punch.  Paper has a little sparkle to it.  I also just added a little bling.

Monday, September 19, 2011

Just a little Happy Birthday card with balloons popped out of paint chip cards.  You can get a large variety of colors from Home Depot or Lowe's.  SU paper, along with Prima paper and a Martha Stewart balloon stamp.

Friday, September 16, 2011

Now that Fall is almost here, I like to use the colors of Fall.  They are soft and warm.  For this card I used spellbinders in two coordinating sizes to make the frame and then embossed it (which you probably cannot tell from the photograph).  I used a StampinUp set for the wreath, some StampinUp papers and ribbon, and also papers from Prima.  I don't know whether you can tell or not from the photograph, but I sponged the wreath with a soft yellow before stamping the leaves for the wreath and popped the frame up  Another alternative would be to stamp the message in the middle of the wreath, if the space allows.

Sunday, September 11, 2011

This was the first stamp I ever bought and discovered it was much too big for a regular sized card.  So I eliminated the writing around the stamp and just used the picture portion.  Even though we are coming into Fall, this is a great time to go to the beach.

Thursday, September 8, 2011

This is always a fun card to make, especially for kids.  I love this little bear and like to pop him up.  I hope you all have a nice day today.

Here's an idea for all you stampers.  Instead of  using a stamp on the back of each card, I put this card stock through my computer and made my own signature line and added my blog.  My daughter suggested this to me and I thought it was a great idea.
I enjoyed working on this card as a challenge.  The rose had quite a few black lines and I wanted to do something other than just stamp it in one color.  So I highlighted it with two shades of pink copics and green copics, then added a little sparkle.  The sparkle was done with Sakura pens, but it is difficult to see where I placed it (in the center of the flower.)  The antique paper set it off.  It's always fun to use spellbinders as part of a card.

Monday, August 29, 2011

This is a very simple card.  Sometimes simple is best.  As Fall is coming faster than we really want it to come, I enjoy doing cards with leaves and wreaths. This card looks better in person and seems to have more life.

Saturday, August 27, 2011

I had fun with this card.  Again I used a set from Flourishes.org that I used previously.  The stamps in this set are very feminine and most of the cards I send out go to females.   I tinted the image and also tinted around the edges of the white Spellbinders.  Don't we all want to be a princess for a day -- at least?

Monday, August 22, 2011

I tried a technique I saw on Gina K Designs last week. After stamping the design with an embossing pad and using clear embossing powder, you cover the embossed area with the ink of your choice.  It was a fun project and I will certainly do it again.  I didn't put any message on the front, as the card could be used for several things.  It's a nice fall look.

Here's my second digi attempt.  Love this nurse, complete with blue sparkle on her eye lids.  Wouldn't you love to have her as your nurse?

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

I wanted to try digi stamping, but I wasn't sure how it worked.  So here is one of my first efforts,  If you haven't tried it, it's like downloading clip art and having  fun with it.  This is just a sweet little girl wishing someone a Happy Birthday!  I just popped her up a bit so she stands out.

At some time in our life, don't we have a pet or a special toy that we just love that warms our heart?  Of course, friends are the best to warm our hearts.  Magnolia has her little puppy to warm her heart.    Have a good day to all those who read my blog.  You are good friends.

Monday, August 8, 2011

Once again I have done something with lavender.  But with orchids you do want to at least start out with lavender.  Another lovely stamp set from Flourishes.org.  I have mixed the stamp with StampinUp paper and nestabilities.  I also put a few dots of  yellow sparkle in the center of each flower.

Saturday, August 6, 2011

This was a very inexpensive stamp which I purchased last year but never used.  Becoming a new great grandmother prompted me to get this stamp out and make this simple little card.

Monday, August 1, 2011

This is another stamp from the Flourishes.org set I used last week.  It is such a delicate stamp just fit for a princess.  Using StampinUp paper, it creates a really sweet card.

Monday, July 25, 2011

This is my newest stamp set from Flourishes.org.  I just love the daintiness of this -- great for a young girl or someone older.  I'm sending this to my sister, who is a princess.

Check out the website, Running with Scissors, as Leslie uses several Flourishes stamp sets and does such a beautiful job of inspiring us all.

Saturday, July 23, 2011

Using this StampinUp stamp set, I stamped it on photo paper to give it the painted look. Then I added a little Sakura Star sparkle to the flowers.

Thursday, July 14, 2011

This is a guy card, one that I really like.  This little guy can project either happy or sad thoughts.  I used just a small section of ribbon.

Sunday, July 10, 2011

I tried to show a close up of the Sakura Purple Star on the butterfly, but it doesn't do it justice.  Trust me, the pen gives the butterfly a pick-me-up.
I love butterflies.  They are so elegant on cards.  I used two different Nestabilities on this one.  In additon, someone sent me a sample Sakura Purple Star pen, which I used.  I hope you can see it.  I will try to show a close up view.  It gives the card pazzaz.

Friday, July 8, 2011

Love this Stampin Up stamp set in which I used the tiny leaf in many colors.  You can make a summer, winter or fall wreath using this same little stamp using  different colors from your stamp pad with a little embellishment.  Fun card to make.

Monday, July 4, 2011

I don't usually put green and red together other than Christmas, but thought I would try with the Nestabilities circle.  I love this little rose stamp from Stampin Up.  Should have made it red, white and blue for the 4th!

Sunday, July 3, 2011

One of my grandsons is celebrating his 9th birthday, so I made this fun card for him -- bright and colorful. I love using that cuttlebug.  So many fun things to do with it.

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

Can you tell what my favorite color is?  This is the same paper as the previous card, with an entirely different look.

Thursday, June 23, 2011

Magnolia is an adorable character to add to those feminine cards.  She is a real cutie.

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

I love doing cards of white on white with a little highlights.
This would make a nice graduation card.  I love this stamp set from StampinUp, along with the soft suede paper instead of using black as a background.

Sunday, June 19, 2011

Same stamp set, different colors.  Still like lavender and green best. When using the markers to color the stamp, it creates a watercolor look

Friday, June 17, 2011

I just love this stamp set from StampinUp along with the paper.  Anything with lavender and butterflies is great!

Thursday, May 26, 2011

This is a cheery little "thank you" card which used Nestabilities and a StampinUp punch, stamp and paper.
I also like using the Score Buddy to make the lines at the top.
